This book has been life-changing. I downloaded the book last year but wasn’t in the right place to read it. The time came in mid-February. I’d been dieting since January (another New Year’s resolution) and I’d lost 7 pounds, but it was just like any other diet I’d tried, log the calories, exercise and lose some weight until you quit the diet, because honestly, I was addicted to sugar. I figured as long as I ‘logged the calories” for my candy, ice cream, cookie, etc. I was fine. And I had at least one of these things daily. Then I read Jasinda’s book! As I said life-changing. The 8 week plan she lays out in the book and the food cycling made perfect sense to me; so I figured I’d give it a try. After the 8 weeks – to my utter amazement, I DID NOT crave sugar!!! The no refined carbs was no big deal either as there are plenty of options on Jasinda’s plan. Although my husband didn’t need to lose weight, he has been very supportive and now says to just buy the low carb wraps and Dreamfields pasta for him as well. The benefits I’ve seen so far are: weight loss of 30 pounds since January, increased energy, the Facebook BGDIR support group and a healthy relationship with food (my favorite benefit).
