I love this book and the author’s style. It is a neverending reference to food and eating in England. I think if I were traveling in Great Britain I would avoid the franchises and eat at all the mom and pop restaurants and eating outlets This book also reminds me of Nigel Slater’s book called Toast which is the author’s own autobiography. I also love the way the author called horseradish as “horse-rubbish”. I am glad that the author never lost his British accent. This is what makes it wonderful to listen to the non-stop prose of eating in England.
