The thing is, it’s not just about weight loss; it’s about finding an approach to healthy living that works. And this does. Nothing happens overnight, as they say, but this one thing has: I feel more of a sense of ease, self-awareness, self-control and wellbeing in general. For this gem of a book makes you smile, thanks to the humorous comments of comedian Jackie Fabulous, but it is also informative and inspiring as it provides helpful tools needed to be successful at weight loss. The author understands the difficulties of losing weight but encourages you on your journey as she offers advice on setting goals, keeping track of your food as well as your feelings, and overcoming obstacles, while at the same time making sure you have essential nutritional information and motivational help. This book has it all, and my copy is bookmarked with post-its for places I want to return to frequently. I highly recommend it for its nutritionally sound approach to losing weight, its comprehensiveness, and its heart!
This is not a diet book. It is a lifestyle book. It will help you change the way you look at food. The way you look at your routine. The way you prioritize your life- if you need to put an emphasis on healthy eating for a healthy future. It’s very easy to follow and to understand. The book leads you to participate and really think, not just read. Above all, I think it’s most helpful to use a resource guide. I have book marked many pages. Highlighted sections. And I find myself referencing this as a brush up or simply to find a helpful tip.
